    XIaomi mi 10T lite....Gaugain....Still on 12.0.9.0 and will not update. (Was on 12.0.8.0 but accepted manual update using downloaded file on phone, to 12.0.9.0)

    Says there is no new update, and if i download android 11 version 12.0.1.0 and tell it to update via the file, it says :


    "Can not confirm update

    Sorry, flash to this stable version is not allowed"


    Really poor support from Xiaomi, the phone now has almost 1 year old android security, making it open for attacks, and also it is still running android 10, when android 11 is out.

    None of the above methods worked sadly.

    I have 2 Pyxis (Mi 9 Lite): one with Global ROM, the other is with EU ROM by factory default. None of them have been ever rooted or manipulated by recovery, so still original.
    BOTH of them should have already received the latest ROM update, but automatic update (OTA) are NOT available. Checking manually did not help. Downloading the official ROM(s) and doing the install manually give this error:

    "Can not confirm update. Sorry, flash to this stable version is not allowed"

    Changing 'Region' (and even language) setting in phone did NOT help.
    Using VPN with other IP location did NOT help.

    Inserting a foreign SIM card into the phone, with foreign location did NOT help.

    Receiving updated earlier: Checked, result: NOTHING!

    Thank you very much for this article! I tried a lot of things to do the update including trying the apk from the site but to no avail. Who would've known that by changing my region to India would so easily solve my problem ... :D
