Xiaomi blocks Google Services on its smartphones with China ROM
Xiaomi seems to have changed its policy regarding Google Services after the latest controversy that arose with its blockade by the United States government . Apparently, the firm has blocked GMS (Google Mobile Services) in MIUI's China ROM .
This is what they have let us know from MIUIes , since apparently in the latest internal MIUI beta, Xiaomi has prohibited the installation of Google services on all those devices that do not have it installed by default.
This new use policy applies to all the firm's devices that are not high-end , that is, it applies to all smartphones provided with a processor other than the Snapdragon 8XX.
Google services will be uninstalled automatically
Apparently, Google or GMS Services will be automatically uninstalled on all devices covered by this new measure after updating to the latest security patch. To install these, you will have to resort to ROOT access .
Of course, it should be noted that this new measure does not affect the MIUI Global ROM , so all users who avail ourselves of these versions of the customization layer will continue to enjoy Google Services and all its applications.
We will keep you informed of any news in this regard and especially with regard to other possible measures that Xiaomi may be adopting regarding the use of Google Services and its apps.
