Xiaomi introduced MIUI 12.5

During a big event in Beijing, China, Xiaomi launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 11 , as well as the latest version of its custom user interface, MIUI 12.5. This new user interface is actually MIUI 12, which comes with extensive privacy improvements, optimal program management, and the ability to receive notifications and perform some tasks effortlessly on connected Windows devices.

Xiaomi made it clear that the name makes the new update look like a minor change, even though it is actually a big step forward and is what will empower its handsets in 2021. The company did not say why it decided to stay away from No. 13, but it seems that there may be some superstition involved.

The new MIUI 12.5 interface enhances aesthetics and visual design, and the company CEO compared the interface to iOS during the unveiling, saying that the transfer effects are almost identical. Xiaomi also has the fewest system apps compared to Apple, Huawei, Oppo, vivo and Meizu.

In this newly developed interface, the original structure has been rewritten, so MIUI 12.5 uses 20% less memory and 25% less energy, and the background memory usage is reduced by an average of 35%. Apps will only receive a small number of pre-installed apps for settings, camera and phone calls.

Just like MIUI 11 and MIUI 12, we have another dynamic wallpaper in the new interface.
