Sony Xperia Compact range could return with a 5.5 inch model

Sony has been remarkably cautious lately. Nevertheless, there are now new indications of new smartphone models. Not only for the upcoming Sony Xperia 10 III , but now also for a new Sony Xperia Compact model for 2021.

The Xperia Compact issue is already causing a stir in the Sony warehouse, considering how popular the series has been. Many fans have been missing the model series since the last Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact came in 2018 ... and no successor came.

Allegedly, a Sony Xperia 1 III Compact is also being discussed, albeit in a very early stage of development. But the rumors about a mysterious new Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 chipset are fueling the rumor.

The Snapdragon 775 briefly appeared in the rumor mill in September as the alleged successor to the Snapdragon 765 / 765G. And supposedly that SoC is supposed to be in a new 5.5 ″ compact model from Sony.
