Official: Huawei has sold Honor

Huawei and Honor will go their separate ways in the future. Huawei has now officially confirmed that the subsidiary brand Honor has been sold.

Rumors of the sale of the Honor brand had been around for weeks. Now the deal is official and the brand goes to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology.

A purchase price was not mentioned, but the sum of 15 billion dollars was mentioned in advance. And the reason has now been officially named.

The statement said the U.S. government's attacks on Huawei are the reason for the split. So now they want to protect Honor and hope that the brand will not be targeted by the USA.

An exciting development, let's see where it's going. Until now, Honor smartphones have always been the slightly stripped-down versions of Huawei smartphone models. Maybe everything will now be more independent, the design, the equipment? Wait and see.
