MIUI 12.2: another great new update that arrives loaded with changes

After arriving at the Xiaomi Mi 10 a few days ago , MIUI 12.2 has begun to be deployed on more Xiaomi devices, filling them with new functionalities. Among these we find the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and the Redmi K30 Pro (POCO F2 Pro).

Document management

  • The display of documents when the smartphone is in portrait format has been improved.
  • PPT and PDF document loading has been optimized, making page breaks faster.
  • Now you can easily import PDF documents and view a greater number of formats.
  • The size of the APK has been reduced for viewing documents.

Camera

  • New enhancements are added to VLOG mode including more templates and filters ( VLOG 2.0 ).
  • New filters: Black Gold, Cyberpunk, Black Ice and Green Orange.
  • New formats of the watermark are added. They will now show the location as well.
  • The zoom settings will remain for 30 seconds if we close and open the camera application.
  • New functions in long exposure mode.
  • New settings for the rate of fire.

When will we see MIUI 12.2 in the Global ROM?

At the moment, MIUI 12.2 has only begun to be deployed in MIUI's Chinese ROM so its arrival in the Global market could take longer than we would like. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has to develop a totally different ROM adapted to the European market and to that of each country where it is launched, affecting the arrival time.

That is why the arrival of MIUI 12.2 could be delayed until the end of the year or even longer , arriving exclusively and in the first place at terminals such as the Xiaomi Mi 10 , Mi 10 Pro and POCO F2 Pro . After them, and probably throughout 2021, it would be the turn of the rest of the smartphones that still have support.
