Huawei: Components for 4G smartphones ordered from suppliers

Huawei is apparently focusing again on 4G smartphones. A new report suggests the company plans to resume production of 4G phones and has begun placing orders with its suppliers for related components.

A source from the Chinese manufacturer revealed this information. Apparently, Huawei is currently stocking up on components for 4G smartphones. "At the moment, small batches of rolling orders are being placed and there is no way of estimating the specific order volume . "

The source also stated that the first finished smartphones will hit the market in the first half of next year, but at the earliest in the first quarter of 2021. Purchasing motherboards and other component products for 4G smartphones is slated to resume later this month .

Interestingly, this announcement is in line with the report that Qualcomm recently received the green light to ship processors to Huawei. However, only 4G chips should be allowed. Huawei itself has not yet commented on it.
