Disney + has 73 million subscribers

Disney + now has 73 million subscribers. One reason for this is probably that more and more blockbuster films are switching to streaming.

Disney +, while still lagging behind Netflix, is growing rapidly as more people are currently staying at home. That ensures more and more subscribers within a very short time.

Disney reported its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2020. The company's shares rose as much as 6 percent as losses weren't as high as expected.

Disney + is the winner in the company, with a total of 73 million subscribers. In the previous quarter it was 57 million and the target of 90 million subscribers actually planned for 2024 is approaching very quickly.

Together with the streaming services from Hulu and ESPN, which also belong to Disney, the company reaches just over 120 million paid streaming subscribers, bridging the gap between the slowing subscriber numbers of Netflix, which currently has 195 million customers.
