Is OnePlus suddenly dancing at too many weddings?
OnePlus today presented two new smartphone models. This means that this year there are already 6 new smartphones from the manufacturer. And the question is, isn't OnePlus suddenly dancing at too many weddings?
OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro in spring as new flagships, then in summer for the first time in years with the OnePlus Nord, a mid-range smartphone. Then a few days ago, the autumn flagship was presented with the OnePlus 8T. With the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100, two affordable entry-level models followed for the first time.
But is that too much? Are users ready to buy such cheap OnePlus models? And isn't OnePlus even undermining its image?
Because one thing is clear: the market for entry-level smartphones is extremely competitive. And OnePlus shouldn't have an easy time getting its devices to men / women in this price segment.
OnePlus has so far stood for very good features at meanwhile reasonably reasonable prices. However, the OnePlus Nord already showed that savings were made in many areas. This is even more evident in the specifications of the N models.
Furthermore, it is incomprehensible that OnePlus is still sending the two models into the race with Android 10. So here more programmers are needed to get the updates on the line. Will a manufacturer as small as OnePlus succeed in this without neglecting the flagships in the updates?
I actually only see question marks behind the new models, they don't really make sense in Germany. If you had dared to start with it in South America or Africa, it would have been understandable. But the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and Nord N100 are more likely to poach in the actual north. And OnePlus makes life difficult for itself.
Or how do you see that?
