Huawei Mate 40 Pro: Mega-Leak reveals all details and design
A few days before the release next Thursday, there are now more leaks about the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 series. Now the Huawei Mate 40 Pro shows itself in a mega leak.
After the first pictures of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro + made the rounds in the network, all specifications and details of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro have now been published.
Display
According to information from Winfuture.de, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will be equipped with a 6.67 ″ OLED display with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,344 pixels, a punch hole design and 456 PPI. The display has the same waterfall curvature as the Mate 30 Pro from last year and supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro brings back the physical volume control buttons that were removed from the Mate 30 Pro and can now be found on the right side of the phone above the red power button.
Speaking of the back: there are now also curved edges on the back. In Europe, the smartphone will only be available in black and silver, while other color options are only intended for the Chinese market.
Compared to the Mate 30 Pro, Huawei has now removed the halo ring outside the camera circle and placed the Leica camera branding in the middle of the camera system.
The dimensions of the phone are 75 mm in width, 162.9 mm in height and 9.1 mm in thickness and weighs 212 grams. It has Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and Wi-Fi 6+.
Storage
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is powered by the latest Kirin 9000 chipset, the last flagship among Huawei's Kirin processors, manufactured by TSMC using the 5 nm process. Inside the chipset there are four ARM Cortex-A55 cores that are clocked at 2.04 GHz. Three high-end cores of the ARM Cortex-A77 at 2.54 GHz and one Cortex-A77 core at 3.13 GHz.
The processor uses the Mali G78 GPU and likely has the Da Vinci NPU unit developed in-house for AI performance. There is also 5G connectivity.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro will only be available in Europe in a version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal Flash 3.1 storage. On the flip side, users in China will get up to 12 GB of RAM, while other variants, including Pro + and RS Porsche Design, will only come with 12 GB of RAM.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is equipped with a triple camera that was co-developed by Leica. However, there is also a fourth sensor in the upper right corner that will likely offer a combination of laser autofocus and depth information. There is also an LED flash between the top row of cameras.
As for the camera specifications, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will be equipped with a 50 MP main camera with f / 1.9 aperture + OIS, a 20 MP ultra wide angle camera with f / 1.8 aperture and a 12 MP periscope zoom telephoto camera with f / 3.4 aperture . The camera system is expected to support up to 8K video recording and 5x optical zoom.
On the front there are two cameras that are built into the punch hole of the display. One is a 13 MP selfie camera with f / 2.4 aperture and the second is a 3D depth sensor for portraits. The camera system also includes a gesture sensor for air gestures .

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a battery capacity of 4,400 mAh that can be charged with a 65W SuperCharge. Besides wired charging, the phone also supports wireless charging and wireless reverse charging.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro will have the EMUI 11 user interface on board, which is supported by Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and AppGallery.
