Somebody really managed to get Super Mario 64 to run on Android. Without an emulator!
Running console games on Android is nothing new thanks to emulators, but one smart person has tackled things beyond emulators and figured out how to install Super Mario 64 on Android and run it natively.
A Nintendo 64 game that runs natively on your Android smartphone. Without using an emulator. The game can be started just like any other app or game on the device.
It's a crazy concept that undoubtedly had to be tinkered with a lot. Fortunately, the user named VDavid003, as the xda-developers report, created the instructions for himself.
The installation of Super Mario 64 on Android takes just a few steps
The guide on how to get this working seems simple. But that doesn't mean the steps are easy.
It's just 7 steps. The final step is to find and install the APK file for Super Mario 64. You also need to have some knowledge of Github. Not to mention downloading the files from the appropriate repositories.
So it would be much easier to just use an emulator. But it's cool to see that it works without it. and the question is whether it would work with other Nintendo 64 games following these instructions?
