Sony has released new firmware updates for a number of smartphones that bring Android security patches from August 2020.
The updated models include the Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 with build number 55.1.A.9.75. Additionally, the Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 series have been updated to build number 52.1.A.3.74, which has been raised from July 2020 to the August 2020 security patches.
There is also an update for the entry-level Sony Xperia L4 with build number 57.0.A.2.242 that raises the security patches from May 2020 to August 2020. The new version 50.2.A.3.77 has been released for the Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra models, with which the security patches have been increased from April 2020 to August 2020.
As always, Sony does not provide a detailed changelog of these updates, but it is unlikely that there will be any noticeable improvements beyond the security patches.
