The newly introduced Royole FlexPai 2 brings a number of improvements over its predecessor. The most obvious of these is its display. In contrast to its predecessor, the flexible 3rd generation Cicada Wing OLED display with a stepless 3S hinge (180 °) can be folded flat with a zero gap. The company claims to have reduced the overall thickness of the folded phone by 40% compared to its predecessor.

In addition, the expanded 7.8 ″ display, which is larger than any other foldable smartphone on the market, has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 4: 3. On the other hand, the main and secondary displays measure 5.5 ″ (1,440 x 900 pixels) and 5.4 ″ (1,440 x 810 pixels) respectively when folded.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 works under the hood, which is supported by 8GB / 12GB RAM and 256GB / 512GB internal storage. There's no support for microSD cards, but it comes with two nano-SIM card slots and it also has dual-mode (SA / NSA) 5G connectivity.

It runs on waterOS 2.0 based on Android 10 with a striking resemblance to Huawei's EMUI operating system.

On the back is a quad camera with a 64 MP primary sensor, paired with a 16 MP sensor with a 116 ° ultra wide-angle lens, an 8 MP sensor with 3x telephoto lens and a 32 MP sensor for selfies.

The battery has a capacity of 4,450 mAh with support for 18W fast charge (Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0).
