PS4 saves are said to be partially incompatible with the PlayStation 5
There are indications that players will not be able to transfer all of the PS4 saves to the new PlayStation 5 from Sony.
Sony has not yet issued an official statement on the downward compatibility of the new game console. The only statement so far was that "99 percent" of all PlayStation 4 games will also work on the PS5.
The one question is whether the games can / will use the full resolution and the high frame rates there.
But what is much more interesting and important, what about the scores? Can these 1: 1 be transferred to the new console? And there are now sobering realizations.
This should depend on the games themselves, as the developers from RGG Studio and the game Yakuza: Like a Dragon are now announcing. Because you can't take over the score.
With the studio Insomniac Games and the game Spider-Man: Miles Morales, however, it works, as they have now announced.
As you can see, there still seem to be a few inconsistencies. Let's hope that by the time the Sony PlayStation 5 is released, a YES to the transfer of old saved games to the PS5 can finally be announced.
