Huawei P Smart 2021: New edition without Google services
In these tough times, Huawei relies on recycling old models. Now the new Huawei P Smart 2021 is coming - but without Google services.
Huawei is relaunching a well-known model. In times without Google services, without processors and a lack of supply chains, the Chinese manufacturer must now see how it can stay afloat.
A wild mix of new, but also known technology is used here. For example the processor, which is now 3 years old.
Huawei P Smart 2021 specifications
The Huawei P Smart 2021 is equipped with a 6.67 ″ FullHD + IPS display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. Inside is the now extremely old 2.2 GhZ HiSilicon Kirin 710A SoC, it is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via a microSD card.
A quad camera is installed on the back, consisting of a 48 MP sensor with an aperture of f / 1.8, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and an aperture of f / 2.4, plus two 2 MP sensors for depth effects and macro shots.
The battery is a proud 5,000 mAh and can be charged quickly with up to 22.5 watts, unfortunately only via a microUSB connection. Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 is used as the operating system, but without Google services.
The scope of delivery also includes 802.11n WLAN in the 2.4 GHz band, Bluetooth 5.1, LTE and a 3.5 mm jack connection.
The Huawei P Smart 2021 starts in Austria for EUR 229.00 in the colors black, gold and green.
