The Corona warning app gets an update on Android and iOS. You should already have been offered the update.
In the meantime, it can boast 17.5 million downloads . But there are still a few mistakes here and there that need to be ironed out. The app, like any other, is not perfect and therefore there is another update.
Version 1.3.0 of the Corona Warning App is now available for download in the Google Play Store and also in the Apple App Store.
The update is intended to fix various errors that still appear in the older versions, such as a possible interruption in the data exchange in the background.
The main innovations are additional information on the risk status. If there is an encounter with a low risk, in the detailed view of the risk status, users will now receive a brief explanation of why the risk of infection is still classified as low despite one or more encounters with a person who tested positive for COVID-19. The recommendation to open the Corona warning app once a day to be on the safe side is now also displayed in the app.
In addition, Corona-Warn-App Version 1.3 contains a link in the imprint to a contact form of the Robert Koch Institute, which makes it easier for users to get in touch with questions and suggestions.
On iOS devices, the app also shows the status "Unknown risk" if the risk status has not been updated for 48 hours. This can be the case, for example, if the background update has not been activated. Users can then manually update the risk status in the app.
