At the Huawei Developer Conference 2020, which has just ended, Huawei announced HarmonyOS 2.0, a new version of its self-developed operating system that will power a variety of devices.
Now an image with a logo has appeared online on Weibo that Huawei wants to use for devices that run on its operating system.
The picture shows the "Powered by HarmonyOS" logo that should appear on devices (and services) that run on the operating system. It is similar to the "Powered by Android" logo that you see when you start an Android smartphone.
The logo shows that HarmonyOS powers a wide variety of products, including watches, cars, headphones, laptops, smart speakers, smart TVs, and smartphones. These devices will in turn control other smart home products from Huawei. It can be assumed that the image will appear both when a device is started up and on its retail box.
Huawei already has the first products on which the new operating system runs. Last year the Huawei Vision was introduced, a smart TV with a 4K quantum dot display. On September 19th, Huawei will announce a new HarmonyOS powered television that will be available worldwide.
Phones based on HarmonyOS will be available in the market starting next year , and Huawei says it is already working with partner companies like Midea to bring home smart devices that will work with the operating system.
