The Sony Xperia 8 Lite has now been presented in Japan. It has exactly the same body and specifications as the Sony Xperia 10 from February 2019, the main difference being that it comes with a different camera.

The model is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset - a 14 nm SoC that was introduced over three years ago. There is also 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The display is still a 6 ″ LCD panel with FullHD + resolution and an aspect ratio of 21: 9.

As for the camera, Sony has installed a 12 MP (aperture f / 1.8) main camera + 8 MP (aperture f / 2.4) camera. Sony does not reveal what the main purpose of the secondary module is.

The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP (aperture f / 2.0). The device also has a 3.5 mm jack connector on the top and a USB-C port on the bottom for charging the 2,870 mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia 8 Lite comes with Android 9 Pie - yes, the almost two-year-old version of the operating system.

The price of the phone is around EUR 235.00. It will be available in two color options (white and black) from September 1st.
