The public tests of Grounded, a new survival game from Obsidan, are underway. Although the game is not finished yet, its developers have just released the first update, which not only fixes the detected errors, but also introduces new content.
Grounded is a work quite unusual for the Obsidian studio. It is appreciated primarily for its great Fantasy RPGs. Meanwhile, Grounded - as of today in beta - is a survival game that works best in multiplayer. And it tells about a group of kids who have been scaled down and have to survive in the jungle that an ordinary lawn has become for them.
The update to version 0.2.0 is now available on Xbox (PC and console) and Steam. It is, of course, free and is to be the first of many. Of course, the streaming version of the Xbox Game Pass is immediately available in the new version. It removes some problems and deficiencies found by players during tests, but also introduces new content.
Grounded August Update - What's New?
There is a lot of news. A system of perks (unique advantages assigned to characters) has been introduced - today there are 13. There are new types of quests from BURG.L and new recipes for crafting elements of our base. There will also be a new insect in the flooded biome - the rowing machine.
The most spectacular novelty, however, seems to be the introduction of a huge bird into the game. It seems insurmountable, but the creators promise that we will be able to craft completely new items from the waste it leaves behind - for example feathers.
The update is going to be very nice and surely at least some of our editorial office will log into the game after working hours to check what's new. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear when Grounded will exit the testing phase. Fortunately, even now, despite the incomplete form, it provides a lot of fun.
Grounded will have a bigger bird. The first update is now available for download
