The Corona warning app now has 17.5 million downloads. The download figures have leveled off at around 300,000 installations per week.
After more than 2 months of availability in the Google and Apple stores, the Corona warning app is preparing to crack the 18 million mark in downloads. If the download numbers remain too constant, then this should be ready in 2 weeks.
Since then it has been downloaded 9.3 million times on Google and 8.2 million times on Apple. The numbers are from August 25th.
Users should continue to open the app at least once a day in order to be able to carry out the data comparison and to receive a warning in an emergency. Unfortunately, there is currently no other way.
According to the RKI, 2,103 users were warned of a possible danger as of August 25th. They can then be tested for themselves or put into quarantine voluntarily. And should therefore not pose a threat to the rest of the population.
In any case, this is the optimal case, whether this was really always followed, unfortunately, cannot be understood. Unfortunately, also not how many devices the Corona warning app is still running on. Because that would be much more interesting to know.
