5G in Orange - coverage map
Yesterday, Speedtest.pl has shared 5G coverage maps for all four Polish infrastructure operators who are developing a 5th generation network , but they are based on permits for the construction of base stations issued by UKE. This means that they do not reflect the actual state of affairs.
Fortunately, operators themselves provide information on where exactly 5G reaches from their base stations. We have recently checked the coverage of Plus, and today we are looking at what Orange has prepared for its customers as part of hello5G .
The operator, which has received 840 permits for the construction of 5G base stations using the 2100 MHz frequency, boasts that its 5th generation network reaches as many as 400 locations, and thus has 6 million people within its range. And what does this coverage look like in these largest Polish cities? We check.

Orange reports that the data on the map was current as at July 2, 2020. At the same time, the company reserves that "if a contract for the provision of telecommunications services is concluded, the map is not part of it and cannot be the basis for any possible claims."
The operator also explains that before concluding the contract, you should contact the showroom to confirm the coverage in the selected location, because "for reasons such as terrain, type of buildings or immediate surroundings, presented range or signal strength may be different than on the map. "
