Somehow nobody really believed that Christopher Nolan's TENET would hit the cinemas on time. Warner Bros. has now postponed the theatrical release.
TENET, Christopher Nolan's latest Mindfuck flick, will not be released in cinemas on July 17th. Not enough cinemas are still open, which was mentioned as a condition to have the film started on time in the cinemas.
But don't worry, we don't have to wait another month to see the strip. The shift is (initially) moderate. The film was only postponed by 2 weeks to July 31.
Inception runs in cinemas instead of TENET
In order to compensate for the "loss" a little bit, inception instead of TENET is shown in the cinemas. This film, also made by Christopher Nolan, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
That TENET will start on time is probably not really assumed. Even if it was used to advertise again and again. But the consequences of the corona pandemic are far from over.
However, it is a little surprising that the film was not postponed for months, but only for 2 weeks. Let's see if it stays with this theatrical release or the start is postponed again.
