Are your Chromecast devices no longer enough for you? Google is preparing something completely new - a tiny TV set, which will include the eleventh edition of Android TV.
According to information captured by the editorial staff of XDA Developers , Google is working on a new device with Android TV 11. It will be sold with a dedicated remote control and is supposed to be an expression of disappointment with the accessories produced by the company's hardware partners. A simple TV dongle is supposed to resemble the Chromecast Ultra add-on. However, instead of being limited only to the function of streaming information from a mobile device, the device is to work under the control of full Android TV.
The device is to be available in three colors (the remote control in all versions is white) and is temporarily called Sabrina. The heart of the add-on is to be an Amlogic processor. It also has to support all modern video and audio formats, including Dolby Vision.
Google Sabrina, or Android TV 11 for your TV. How does it look like?
XDA Developers has not only obtained information about the equipment, but also about the system installed on it. Android TV running on Sabrina differs significantly from the one present on TVs or devices like Nvidia Shield.
It is not certain, however, whether this interface should go to other devices - although I would say that it is. With the proviso that Android TV, like regular Android, can be modified by equipment manufacturers. Some of them will probably develop their own so-called overlays , which is a pity, because the Android 11 UI gives the impression of being readable and comfortable.
Google Sabrina belongs to the Nest line of products that have not yet been officially distributed in our country. Therefore, if we are interested, the device will have to be bought in foreign online stores or in stores that decide to download them to Poland on their own. It is said to cost around $ 80.
