Xiaomi releases the Android 10 kernel source code for several of its devices

To our surprise, Xiaomi has released the kernel source code for the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, Mi 9 SE, Mi 8 Lite, Mi 9 Lite and Mi Max 3 , all based on Android 10, thus allowing us to increase the possibilities for new Custom ROMs.

With this, Xiaomi reminds us again that it is one of the few companies that publishes the source code of its firmware completely free , thus giving us the possibility of studying it or even developing new improvements for its terminals.

Thanks to this new release, new Android 10-based Custom ROMs can be created for these terminals or modules that expand their possibilities , all in a much more stable way than we could obtain until today.

To access you can do it from GitHub for the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE , Mi 9 SE and Mi 9 Lite , in this case three terminals that work under the Snapdragon 700 Series, specifically with the Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 712.

For its part, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite and Mi Max 3 share the same chipset so they also share the same source code, accessible from GitHub.
