Despite many amenities, it's worth remembering that this is a new version of the operating system. And although, as we have already mentioned, it was thoroughly tested, no one promises us that at the beginning it will not cause any problems. The 1909 version of Windows 10 is still supported, so it will continue to receive patches related to security and stability. If our computer is already working great at the moment and there is nothing particularly important for us in the update, it will be wise to wait with its use.

That being said, I've been using Windows 10 2004 for many weeks on more than one computer. The system seems stable and refined, and minor updates - which we will talk about below - are quite useful. If you are a conscious computer user who can deal with minor problems in the system - then I think that the caution recommended in the previous paragraph is an exaggeration in your case.

Upgrading to version 2004 is optional at the moment - which means that its installation will not be forced. In the near future, the computer will propose its installation, but we will be able to postpone it for later. If we want to speed up this process, we can go to the Settings application, then select Update and security in it, and in the Windows Update section select Check for updates . It is worth remembering that the said click is interpreted by the system as the will to apply this update, the process can no longer be interrupted.

The update is downloaded in the background, which may take a different amount of time depending on our connection. You can still use your computer while downloading. After downloading, the system will inform you to restart. We can also wait with this and do it only after we have some free time. This restart will take from ten minutes to even an hour - although the last case is some extreme, describing some very old and application-laden computer.
