Microsoft calls players to break the record. 35 million people play Solitaire, but that s not enough to beat Minecraft
Microsoft has boasted that it has already sold 200 million copies of Minecraft, which is an absolute industry record. Slightly shifted makers of Windows solitaire say hold me a beer - and today they plan to set their own new record.
Everyone has probably heard about the Minecraft phenomenon. The Microsoft sandbox designed to develop creativity has gained particular popularity among the youngest players, although it is also played by people of all ages. This phenomenon, however, is something that belongs to modern history. At least if we compare it to another gaming classic, also from the Microsoft stable.
30 years ago WIndows 3.0 appeared, and Solitaire appeared on it.
Exactly 30 years ago, Microsoft introduced Windows 3.0. Solitaire (Microsoft Solitaire) appeared in the set of system applications for the first time, a simple game of arranging virtual playing cards.
Probably the creators of this simple game have never predicted how gigantic popularity it will gain. Solitaire has probably not stolen the hearts of fans of Doom or Fallout games, but invariably for three decades it has been allowing you to unwind tired of tedious work of accountants, officials, secretaries and many other employees stuck to the computer forcibly.
For a long time, Microsoft Solitaire is no longer closely associated with Windows. Microsoft Solitaire Collection - because this is the official name of the game - is also available in iOS, iPadOS, Android and as a web application.
According to the creators of Microsoft Solitaire Collection, Echo stands for Solitaire - the game registers 35 million active players from over 200 countries every month.
And its creators, probably inspired by the success of their colleagues responsible for Minecraft, call on their fans to break the world record in the number of solitaires arranged during the day.
They encourage you to download games and fun, and each transition of the game brings the community of fans closer to the desired success.
The Microsoft Solitaire Collection is available at these addresses:
- For windows
- On Android
- For iOS and iPadOS
- In the web version
