Xiaomi brings Android 10 and MIUI 11 to the Mi Max 3 and Mi 8 Lite

Xiaomi has reluctantly updated most of its smartphones to the Android 10-based MIUI 11. Although the company has released the new MIUI 11 for all eligible models, most of them are still stuck on Android 9 Pie.

In a surprising move, the Chinese manufacturer now has the Android-based MIUI 10 11 Global OTA update for the Mi Max 3 and Mi 8 Lite released .

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 only received an Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 11 update in March and now surprisingly Android 10. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite had already received an Android 10 based MIUI 11 update in China in December. But the global variant was still waiting for it.

The update brings the version MIUI V11.0.1.0.QEDMIXM (1.8 GB) for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, while the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite MIUI V11.0.1.0.QDTMIXM (2.4 GB) gets. Both updates bring the Android security patches from February 2020. These updates will likely be the last for both models.
