The asymmetrical hit Dead by Daylight hit the smartphones. The free game can now be downloaded for iOS and Android

Dead by Daylight is one of the most popular online video games. With over five million copies sold, its creators are continuing their expansion to new target platforms: Android and iOS smartphones.

Dead by Daylight is a survival horror game and an asymmetrical network game. The title is based on 4v1 games, where four seemingly defenseless people must escape the serial killer. Both the survivor and the killer are players who perform different tasks on the same map. Survivors repair generators, flee from the torturer and look for a way out of the location, while the killer chases his victims and sacrifices them for eternal evil. Yep, you guessed it, we're talking about an adult title.

Dead by Daylight is not a masterpiece in terms of quality.

The title, however, gained great popularity thanks to streamers and youtuber. Internet celebrities outdid themselves to frightened reactions in front of the camera, downloading more players to DbD servers. The social media machine did its job, and the relatively affordable price of the game was also important. The title has grown into a very interesting alternative to more classic network productions.

Behavior Interactive studio responsible for the game did a good job expanding Dead by Daylight to include cult characters from the world of horror. The publisher managed to obtain licenses for Demogorgon from Stranger Things, Pig from Piła, Ghostface from Scream, Freddy Krueger from Friday the 13th or Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Added to this are licensed songs, maps, and survivors removed from movies and series. Horror fans found it difficult to resist such a bestiary.

Now Dead by Daylight Mobile has hit smartphones with iOS and Android.

Although in some regions production was available before, it is only now that we are dealing with the official global premiere of the application. Unlike the desktop version, Dead by Daylight Mobile is free. Hence, anyone interested can download the game from the App Store or Google Play at no cost.

Of course, the Free2Play model means that the developers of the application put a lot of interesting content behind the wall of micro-transactions and paid boxes. The player completing the tutorial has only two survivors and one killer available. Fortunately, some of the more interesting (and more macabre) characters can be unlocked using online gameplay by collecting a special currency.

Unfortunately, Dead by Daylight Mobile is currently deprived of many elements of the desktop version. The palette of survivors and assassins was heavily defective. There is no content from at least the last few chapters published for the stationary game. It also hurts me that the touch title does not support an alternative form of control using a wireless controller. You can get used to virtual buttons, but it's not the same. The publisher has a plus for the Polish language version.
