Speedtest.pl publishes a new ranking of internet providers. Enter voivodships

The new Speedtest.pl ranking, i.e. a company researching the internet speed in Poland, allows you to see which operators won in individual voivodships. We checked which providers of internet and mobile services won against the competition.

Speedtest.pl periodically publishes its reports on the speed of mobile internet averaging results across the country. However, the company has now decided to provide a table with a map on which you can see which operators won in each voivodship. First, let's focus on the overall result of telecoms on a national scale.

In the overall ranking for January 2020, Inea turned out to be the winner of the Speedtest.pl ranking.

In terms of speed of sending data, it is ahead of operators such as UPC, Toya and Vectra, but slightly. It's the same order of magnitude and the speeds were 133 Mp / s, 123 Mb / s, 118 Mb / s and 101 Mb / s respectively. Only then does it drop to 59 Mb / s. This is where Orange and Netia went.

When it comes to downloading data, the fight is even, but Inea outclasses competitors when it comes to sending data. 131 Mb / s upload is the same level as the download. In the case of competition, the download is usually several times slower than the download.

Inea, however, has no monopoly on a national scale.

In addition, the leader of the nationwide ranking ... did not win in any of the provinces. At home in Poznań, PSM Winogrady gave way to the operator, who has an average of 174 Mb / s. However, this local service provider has too little share in the country - less than 0.5 percent. all tests - to appear in the overall ranking.

The operator that appears most often on the map is the runner-up in the general statement, UPC. It wins in West-Pomeranian (where it has a record, i.e. 136.38 Mb / s), Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Mazowieckie, Świętokrzyskie, Śląskie and Podkarpackie.

T-Mobile ruled in the mobile world in January.

The operator in the mobile category achieved a speed of 26 Mb / s, while the upload was 8.54 Mb / s with a 40 ms ping. For the other networks, the results were not much worse - they turned out to be similar.

Orange Mobile (approx. 23.7 Mb / s at 8.8 Mb / s), Play (approx. 22.7 Mb / s at 7.41 Mb / s) and Plus (approx. 20.29 Mb / s to 8.39 Mb / s). Orange telecom in addition topped the download leader in terms of upload.

T-Mobile loves the east of Poland

The operator won first place in the West-Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian, Podlasie, Masovian, Łódź, Świętokrzyskie, Lublin, Lesser Poland, Silesian and Lubuskie provinces. In the case of the latter two, it even broke the 30 Mb / s barrier as the only operator in the list.

The Play network is the bastion of the north, i.e. the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Pomeranian provinces, but this is not a surprise. Play is preparing to launch a 5G network in the Tri-City. Orange, in turn, rules in Greater Poland and Lower Silesia, and Plus has two Gallic villages in Opole and Carpathian.

Speedtest.pl also checked how mobile operators are doing in the capital.

It turned out that the T-Mobile result in Warsaw was slightly above average and amounted to 27.6 Mb / s - this is slightly more than the telecom managed to achieve on a national scale. Slight increases can also be seen in the case of Orange and Plus, while Play in the capital lowers its average.

It is worth noting that if you consider only the LTE network, the order of results in the table and positions on the map will change slightly. In this approach, Play and Plus are losing because they both gave telecoms in the voivodship to T-Mobile. Orange, in turn, defended its position.
