Perhaps the next dream of nostalgic players will come true. Blizzard is preparing Burning Crusade servers

World of Warcraft Classic was the fulfillment of the dreams of those players who longed for the original, "vanilla", more difficult MMORPG in the world of Azeroth. Blizzard decided to follow the blow and take advantage of the nostalgia of players.

Despite some predictions, World of Warcraft Classic has been a huge success. Even in 2018, I shared my doubts with readers. I suspected that the power of nostalgia is not enough, and today's "dissolved" players will be afraid of a completely different pace and level of difficulty of the classic game.

I was wrong - World of Warcraft Classic has caused the whole game to revive, and the number of active subscriptions is reportedly greater than ever in recent years. Return to the roots brought Azeroth so much awaited renaissance.

Players after visiting the classic Azeroth have gained appetite for more.

For some time, rumors have been circulating among players about the possible next evolution of classic servers. Servers with the option of visiting Outland would be the obvious choice.

This land, created from the destroyed planet Draenor, has been made available in The Burning Crusade . For many players, this is the apogee of all that is good in World Of Warcraft. First, players were given the opportunity to develop further, up to level 70. Secondly, the story told in addition was intriguing. Thirdly, the new area was a huge continent that could be visited and explored for months, and at the highest level we had the opportunity to unlock flying mounts.

All this, and besides changes in the game itself, such as additional skills to acquire and two new races of characters that we could choose, made the Vanilla plus The Burning Crusade pack an unbeatable tandem.

Not surprisingly, the logical step for Blizzard can be to unlock the content from the first expansion for the game on classic servers.

But what to do with those who want to permanently stay in the world of vanilla ? Blizzard seems to be asking the same question because, according to Wowhead , the company sends out surveys about the possible implementation of the add-on on classic servers.

In the survey sent, the player is asked which solutions they prefer. Possible answers are:

  • I would like to continue playing my character on the current Classic server, which will include The Burning Crusade, with the option of transferring to a classic server, which will never happen.
  • I'd like to start with a new character on Burning Crusade server, level 58
  • I would like to start with a new character on the Burning Crusade server from level 1
  • I would like to continue on the current Classic server, but with the option of transferring to a server with the addition of Burning Crusade .

The survey also asked the players how interested they would be in playing "classic" Outland. I am very curious about the players' answers and which option Blizzard will choose. I must admit that I would gladly visit the lands originally released in 2007 again.
