Places where the infection occurred, the location of infectious hospitals and statistics related to individual regions. All this in a useful and well-written web application.
Thanks to the Polish branch of Esri, we can easily and clearly track the coronavirus pandemic in our country. The web application just launched draws information from official sources and visualizes them on a map of the entire country.
Esri already has experience in building similar software solutions. Four years ago, American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention used the company's solutions to monitor the spread of Zika virus. Visualizations and data processing using Esri mechanisms enabled the selection of the best conditions for the development of the mosquito that carried the virus - which then determined the place where people were particularly vulnerable to infection.
Coronavirus in Poland: MAP. What can we read from it?
The application displays several widgets on the screen, which we can freely deploy. The main element seems to be the correct map, which presents the exact location of all reported cases of infection and all infectious hospitals. The map can be enlarged for closer analysis.
In addition, the live application provides information on the number of infected and the number of deaths. It also informs about statistical data, such as the division of the infected into voivodships or the rate of spread of the pest. It also provides links and addresses to all hospitals marked as infectious.

Not only Poland. The same maps are for the rest of the world
The application has not been prepared solely for Poland - in fact, Poland is one of its modules. As part of the Esri program interface, we can quickly switch between countries and observe the development of a pandemic within their borders. We always have shortcuts to basic statistical information from the world in the interface, including the number of infected or deaths.
You can find the coronavirus map of the world here .
To date, one person has died of coronovirus in Poland. Probably this will not be the only victim, after all, these are counted in thousands around the world. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this nightmare to end, and use the applications in question or to satisfy curiosity - paranoia and panic are the last thing we need now.
