Secondly, due to its small size, Switzerland is behaving like a country with a system of direct democracy on many issues. The same is true for 5G network concerns. If more than half of the citizens express concerns about any issue, the authorities must respond to it immediately.

The Bundesamt für Umwelt (Bafu), the Swiss Federal Environmental Protection Agency, was tasked to investigate whether radiation from the 5G network would affect the health of Swiss citizens in any negative way. After analyzing this case, experts from Bafu stated that it is currently impossible to assess this situation because there is no research on the impact of radiation emitted by 5G stations, on the basis of which any universal criteria could be created.

That is why Switzerland will carry out its own research.

It will be carried out by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, which in connection with this decision announced that determining whether 5G radiation threatens Swiss citizens in any way will take some time. I am very curious what methodology Bafu plans to use. My guess is that this will roughly consist of exposing human tissues to close contact with radiation from some experimental 5G mast running under controlled conditions.

Until the research is completed, individual cantons may issue permits for the construction of 5G infrastructure based on local radiation intensity standards. And because these standards are the lowest when it comes to Europe, no canton will probably decide to do so.

Switzerland has not yet confirmed any conspiracy theory of opponents of the 5G network. She simply stated that no one has yet studied the effect of 5G radiation on the human body, so you need to do such research and present their results to Swiss citizens.
