The new Canon EOS 850D is a classic SLR camera that is the successor to the popular 800D model shown in 2017. This means that the camera is aimed at novice but ambitious photographers or enthusiasts who do not want to spend astronomical amounts for the new camera.

Canon EOS 850D is faster and autofocus tracks face and eye.

The new SLR camera is built around an APS-C matrix with 24.1 megapixel resolution. In addition, the construction is powered by a Digic 8 processor, which allowed to increase the rate of fire to 7 fps.

The most important novelty, however, is the autofocus system. The SLR camera uses Dual Pixel CMOS technology and has 45 active AF points, all of which are very functional cross points. In addition, the iTR (intelligent tracking) system enables face and eye tracking, which is still very rare in the SLR segment, and in the case of cheap SLRs it has never happened. The AF point can be selected on the LCD touch screen.

An on-board exposure measurement sensor with an effective resolution of 220,000 is also on board. pixels, equipped with flicker detection. Previously, this feature was only available on the more expensive EOS 90D model.

The Canon EOS 850D has an external microphone input but no headphone output. For movies, a tilting and touch LCD screen with a diagonal of 3 inches and a resolution of 1.04 million points will be useful. The LP-E17 battery is sufficient for approx. 800 pictures taken using the viewfinder or 310 pictures taken with Live View. On board is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC for wireless connectivity.
