This was the case with, for example, information about the appearance of the PS5 development version , which turned out to be true. A few weeks after the leak of devkit photos, it was the turn of the PlayStation 5 consumer edition, which will appear on store shelves in 2020.

Blurred photography in low quality shows the subject significantly different from what I expected. The presented body is sharp and asymmetrical. The device seems to diverge from current trends in the design of usable technology, where it focuses on minimalism, coolness, simplicity, elegance and a kind of austerity. The alleged PS5 from the photo looks interesting, but I would not call such a console elegant. On the contrary. Asymmetry catches the eye. Intrigued. Distracted.

On the other hand, despite the bold and non-obvious design, the alleged PlayStation 5 has a lot of PlayStation 4 in it. Some design continuity is maintained here. I look for it mainly in the rounding of some edges, the barely visible logo on the back and the sandwich character of the housing. Similar slices consist of PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. Only that in the case of PS5 these are heavily skewed, completely changing the visual perception of this equipment.

The alleged PS5 can be seen much more clearly on projects that have also hit the network.

As in the case of the photo above, the sources of projects should be seen in the 4Chan platform. The materials were published in the form of anonymous letters. Then the photo and projects landed incl. on Twitter. It is interesting that the usually chirping social platform brutally filters all sorts of false material. In the case of the PS5 photo, there was noise related to the appearance of the console, but no one was undeniably able to undermine the authenticity of the materials.

Quite the opposite - the look of PlayStation 5 was confirmed by the source, which previously correctly first indicated the release date of PS5. Of course, you don't have to be a genius or market analyst to predict that next-generation consoles will debut in a profitable holiday season. I just point out that while 95 percent similar reports are almost immediately negatively verified, so in this case we deal with the remaining 5 percent. Of course, this does not mean that the materials can be considered real.
