ING goes to voice commands. The bank application tests with the Google Assistant
Ok, Google, check my account balance - in just a few weeks, ING Bank Śląski's clients will be able to use mobile banking in part using voice commands. All thanks to the new version of the Moje ING mobile application, where the Google Assistant will act as a guide.
Beloved in technology, the Poles waited a long time for the Google Assistant to speak to them in their mother tongue. And indeed, when it finally happened in early 2019, they willingly started using voice commands, quickly changing their habits to the way they use the smartphone.
Considering how quickly we imply new technological solutions to our reality, including the financial one - you could only wait for the Google Assistant to get seriously interested in a bank. It turns out that the first one who wants to break the ice in this area will be ING Bank Śląski.
Google assistant in the new version of the mobile application
In a few weeks, a new version of the Moje ING mobile application will be available. This time the modification is significant because it opens the door for the Google Assistant. Tests of such a solution are already at the finish. Thus, ING Bank Śląski wants to be the first entity in Poland that will offer its clients the organization of their own finances by voice. At least to a limited extent.
You check the balance and generate the Blik code
For starters, ING will allow the Google Assistant to do basic activities. Such as checking the current balance, ordering the transfer and generating the Blik code. In the latter case, not everything will follow our voice alone. Manual verification with a PIN will be necessary. In the case of transfers, at the beginning it should only apply to those quick ones with a defined amount. Only and exclusively within the accounts kept at ING Bank Śląski.
