Even 111 GB for the same top-up - which operator gives you the best (and longest) bonuses for topping up your account?

The internet on the card seems like a great solution - no contracts, and multi-gigabyte bonuses for the same top-up. Only that the latter like to be lost after some time. We checked with the operator's pitching is the least painful.

Note: We only take into account dedicated mobile internet pre-paid tariffs.

Orange

Orange with the Orange Free tariff has the most recent offer in this matter, changing the conditions for the loss this week . At the beginning, however, let's check what bonuses you can get by default each time you top up your account:

  • 5 PLN - 2.5 GB bonus, valid for 2 days
  • PLN 10 - 5 GB, 5 days
  • PLN 30 - 15 GB, 1 month
  • 50 PLN - 25 GB, 3 months
  • PLN 100 - 50 GB, 5 months
  • PLN 200 - 100 GB, 5 months

Especially in the first two cases, we do not have too much time to use our bonus data packet. The latest Orange solution, however, allows us to extend the validity of the bonus, regardless of its initial validity. Of course, there is nothing for free.

And yes, if we want to use the bonus packages for a longer time, we must issue:

  • PLN 3 - extension of the package's validity by 7 days
  • PLN 9 - extension of the package's validity by 31 days
  • PLN 30 - extension of the package's validity by 365 days

Extensions can be made indefinitely. In addition, if you forget about the expiration date, we can recover the bonus packages - you can top up your account with any amount before the end of 7 days from the end of the bonus validity.

It sounds complicated (and it is), but it is undoubtedly an interesting solution for those who do not need a sizeable data package, and want to be able to use it throughout the year. For example, in a tablet where we use 3G / LTE sporadically, but we never know when this moment will come, a package for PLN 10-30 may be enough, and an additional bonus of 30 PLN per year.

As a result, for 40-60 PLN annually (ie several zlotys per month) we have to use 5-15 GB of data, which we do not have to worry about during this time.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile services do not work

T-Mobile in the internet offer on the card has an even more extensive table of bonus gigabytes after topping up:

  • 5-9 PLN - 2 GB, valid for 30 days
  • 10-19 PLN - 4 GB, 30 days
  • 20-24 PLN - 8 GB, 30 days
  • PLN 25-29 - 10 GB, 30 days
  • 30-49 PLN - 15 GB, 30 days
  • PLN 50-99 - 25 GB, 60 days
  • 100 - 199 PLN - 50 GB, 120 days
  • PLN 200 and more - 111 GB, 150 days

The biggest advantage of bonuses in T-Mobile is without a doubt that even the cheapest ones have a reasonable, 30-day period of validity. The difference compared to Orange is particularly visible in the case of topping up for PLN 5-10. While Orange offers a bit more GB (2.5 vs 2, 5 versus 4), we use single days for their use, while in T-Mobile a full month (ok, depends on the month).

Differences in favor of Orange's basic offer begin around PLN 50. Gigabytes are the same, but their importance in the orange network is one month longer. Similarly, when topping up between 100 and 199 PLN.

T-Mobile returns to the lead only after topping up for PLN 200 and more, where it offers the same validity, but 11 GB more.

Unfortunately, the magent does not give any possibility to extend the validity of the bonus, except for the standard - the next top-up :

If the User topped up again within the validity period of the GB / Validity of the Account, the new Account Expiration Date / GB Package will be extended accordingly according to the top-up value, and the pool of unused units from the active GB Package will be increased by the new GB Package resulting from the value last top-up.

And what does the summary look like if you consider the new Orange extension offer?

To equalize the offer in terms of the validity period, we have to add PLN 9 (30 days) to the two cheapest Orange proposals, which significantly reduces the attractiveness of the Orange offer. When recharging for PLN 30 we have a tie.

With recharges for 50, 100 and 200 PLN, the question arises - how long do we want to use these bonus gigabytes? If 50 or 100 GB is enough for us all year, it is difficult to combine these two offers. The annual cost in Orange will amount to at least PLN 80 (PLN 50 for top-ups plus PLN 30 for the bonus year), while in T-Mobile you need to top-up for PLN 50 ... once every 4 months, which gives us PLN 150, that is almost twice as high.

Plus

Plus it has two starters and two offers - for 30 GB and up to 100 GB for top-up. We are most interested in this first option, because it combines with the promotion of GigaBank, you do not lose GB .

First, however, the standard top-ups and bonuses associated with them:

  • 5 PLN - 0.1 GB, 5 days
  • 10 PLN - 2 GB, 10 days
  • 20 PLN - 4 GB, 20 days
  • PLN 25 - 10 GB, 30 days
  • 50 PLN - 25 GB, 90 days
  • PLN 100 - 50 GB, 180 days
  • PLN 200 - 100 GB, 180 days

Packages up to PLN 20 look not very attractive compared to the competition. The cheapest one has a longer validity than in Orange, but with the current internet sizes of 100 MB, probably we will use in 5 minutes, not 5 days. The package for PLN 10 is very modest (2 GB for 10 days, against eg 4 GB for 30 days from T-Mobile), as well as the package for PLN 20 (4 GB for 20 days, versus 8 GB for 30 days from T -Mobile). The package for PLN 25 is already the same as what T-Mobile offers. Orange has no top-up with this value and the associated bonus.

When recharging for PLN 50, Plus goes head to head with Orange, ahead of T-Mobile (validity by a month longer), while with recharges for PLN 100 and 200 it overtakes everyone by its validity - we have a full 180 days instead of 120 (T-Mobile) or 150 (Orange). In addition, in packages from PLN 25, the Social Package is awarded with a bonus, i.e. Facebook and Messenger without reducing the data limit.

What is the Gigabank promotion ? On the fact that if you top-up your account before the expiration date of the bonus from the previous top-up, both the value of bonuses and their validity period are added up.

Whether the offer of Plus is ultimately more attractive than Orange with paid extensions depends mainly on how much and how we use the internet on the card. If you actually consume about 100 GB a year and we can split it into two top-ups, the Plus offer will be cheaper due to the standard half-year validity of the bonus. If, however, we only need 50 GB for the whole year, Orange will be cheaper - PLN 130 (PLN 100 top-up, PLN 30 prolongation). In Plus, however, we would have to spend PLN 200 (two top-ups of PLN 100 each).

Play

play transferring employee practice numbers

Play has four internet primers , but all have the same level of bonuses when topping up (values for recharges via the Internet):

  • 5 PLN - 360 MB, 5 days
  • 10 PLN - 3.12 GB, 7 days
  • 20 PLN - 7.45 GB, 14 days
  • PLN 30 - 12.97 GB, 30 days
  • PLN 50 - 21.62 GB, 60 days
  • PLN 75 - 38.42 GB, 90 days
  • PLN 100 - 67.23 GB, 120 days

Unfortunately, Play, like Plus, has a very bad bonus for topping up for PLN 5 (though still valid for longer than in Orange) and PLN 10. At 20 he equates with T-Mobile and ahead of Plus, but behind the former it still lags behind, offering validity at 14 days, while T-Mobile gives us 30 days.

The valid month's bonuses - just like in Orange - we receive only when topping up for PLN 30. However, it will be smaller by about 2 GB than that offered by Orange and T-Mobile. He is also worried about the short validity period of top-ups for 50 zlotys (60 days, as in T-Mobile, shorter than in Plus and Orange).

It is interesting, however, to top up for PLN 75, which is not offered by any of the other operators. We receive less than 38.5 GB, valid for 90 days. In Plus, two top-ups for a similar total amount will receive 35 GB, but valid for 120 days. In T-Mobile - 35 GB, but for 90 days. In Orange, on the other hand, 40 GB, valid for 120 days, but for PLN 5 more (top-ups for 50 and 30 PLN).

Unbeatable volume, however, is the bonus when topping up for PLN 100 - we get 67.23 GB. Unfortunately, it is valid for 120 days, which is a result comparable to T-Mobile (but there is almost 20 GB less), but weaker than in Orange (150 days) and Plus (180 days).

Bonus data packages do not get lost , if we recharge before the end of their validity:

Each Top Up, made before the expiry of the validity period currently entitled to the Bonus, causes an increase
the current Bonus by the MB / GB number resulting from the new Top-up, and the expiry date of the total Bonus is counted
from the date of the new Top-up.
In the case referred to in point 7 above, the validity period of accumulated units allocated under the Bonus
will be equal to the longest period of validity of the package subject to cumulation. The validity periods of packages do not add up.

What to choose?

The answer is obvious: it depends!

It depends mainly on how, how often and how intensively we use this way of accessing the Internet. Orange's new extension offer at first glance may seem complicated and expensive, but - as it turns out - PLN 30 for a full year of the bonus's validity is in many cases a smaller expense than maintaining this validity with subsequent top-ups and building a gigabyte base indefinitely.

However, T-Mobile (30 days for cheap packages and the largest package for PLN 200), Plus (for 180 days over PLN 100) and Play (for the largest package for PLN 100) deserve praise for standard bonuses.

As usual, so - everyone has to sit down with the calculator for offers and see which one suits him best.
