Do you have an iPhone in Play? From now on, you ll add app purchases to the App Store
If you have a phone in Play and you use Apple's services, you will add the shopping fees on the App Store or Apple Music to the operator's account.
From December 6, Play network customers can pay for purchases in Apple's digital stores, adding them to the invoice for the violet operator's telecommunications services. In this way, we will pay for apps and games on the App Store, Apple Music subscription, purchase of songs, ringtones or movies in iTunes.
What do you need to do to use this payment method?
Currently, Apple customers can pay for digital content using a payment card linked to an Apple ID. Another option is to buy a gift card or top up your Apple ID account for the selected amount.
The carrier billing function works in such a way that our purchases will be summarized on the telecommunications invoice. Payments of this type do not only apply to the iPhone. We will pay in this way also for iPad, Mac or Apple TV.
How do I start payments for purchases on the App Store, Apple Music & iTunes on Play?
To use the carrier billing service, just go to Settings and click the tab with our name and profile photo.
Then click on the Payment and Shipping tab.
We choose the payment method.
Next, we'll see a form with payment details, and at the bottom, Change to operator invoice option.
Fill out the form and click Next.
The payment method will be the default for our Apple ID. Charges for purchased digital content will be added to the nearest invoice from Play.
Why is it worth using this form of payment?
Recently, I wrote about the loss of payment cards . Plastics I reserved in banks, meanwhile I was approaching the payment for subscriptions, which I use in the App Store. It happened without the purchase of gift cards, because luckily new cards managed to come before the payment deadline for the subscription. If I used the carrier billing service, I would not have to worry about the lack of a card attached to my account. This is perhaps an extreme example, but illustrating the problem. In my case, it was not possible to top up your iTunes account, because it is implemented using the default payment method, which is the card. Carrier billing makes us independent of the card.
