Choosing something sensible in the amount of up to PLN 600 is not so easy. Well, count on the fact that buying a smartphone at this price, you have to take into account a large number of compromises and forget about most technical innovations. This does not mean, however, that nothing meaningful can be found in this. Let's get started.

What smartphone up to PLN 600? Xiaomi Redmi 5 32GB

Xiaomi is the real king of cheap smartphones. This review assumes that we take into account prices in the official Polish distribution, so as not to give you problems related to the warranty service. That's why I chose the Xiaomi Redmi 5 version with 32 GB of memory. ext. The phone has a large (5.7 ") screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and quite a reasonable technical specification.

Snapdragon 430 in combination with 3 GB RAM should not have problems with smooth running of most mobile applications that are used every day. It will be a bit worse with the performance in mobile games, but you can not expect miracles for this price. Android is hidden here under the original overlay Xiaomi MIUI 9, which is a bit similar to Google's iOS system. In my opinion, it is very convenient.

What smartphone up to PLN 600? NOKIA 5

No, the times when Nokia was the top producer of phones will never come back. But if we are looking for something cheap, it is worth mentioning the model number 5. A very classic look, quite good (for a phone call for PLN 600) the camera and the fingerprint reader on the front are its biggest advantages. And the disadvantages? Just 2 GB of RAM. In 2018, this is a big limitation and it may turn out that the standard set of applications (facebook, messenger, browser + several other community groups) will make Nokia get short.

If you decide on this model, I recommend switching to all available lite versions of applications that you use and control processes running in the background. It deserves praise that HMD Global - the owner of the Nokia brand - takes care of the system updates of its phones, which can certainly be counted among the pros. Unless, of course, it turns out that in a year you will want to buy something new anyway.

What smartphone up to PLN 600? Sony Xperia L1

Sony Xperia L1

Xperie has always liked me for this light-edged design, so let me mention the L1 model. Its greatest advantage will be appreciated by people who love to shoot selfies. The front lens in this Xperia is wide-angle, which means that on the photo, in addition to your face, our friends will also fit. And Sony has equipped this model with a USB-C connector, which is today's standard, so it will be easier to borrow a charger from someone if you forget yours.

Xperia L1 is unfortunately not a speed demon. These 2 GB RAM work with the MediaTek MT6737T processor, which performs worse in tests than the Snapdragon 430 (but a little better than 425). The smartphone also does not have a fingerprint reader, which nowadays is getting a bit annoying.

What smartphone up to PLN 600? LG K11 Dual SIM

In turn, K11 is a sensible proposal for someone with whom smartphones fall out of their hands too often. My few friends like that, which long ago stopped buying more expensive models and are looking for something cheap, because it will break down anyway. K11 is not a typical representative of armored smartphones that resemble bricks, but it can boast of the MIL-STD standard. This means that its design is much more resistant to impacts and falls on the pavement than a standard smartphone.

Another, maybe unobvious, plus is a good sound transducer equipped with DTS: X technology. If you are looking for a smartphone where you can check fejs from time to time, write back to someone and go back to listening to music, K11 will work perfectly. Well, here we have a fingerprint reader. The biggest disadvantage is again those unfortunate 2 GB of RAM.

If I had to choose the best phone from this list, I would consider buying either Honor 7 or Xiaomi Redmi 5. Both have the same configuration (Snapdragon 430 + 3 GB RAM), fingerprint readers and the same screen diagonal. Honor, of course, has a different system overlay (EMUI) and a slightly smaller battery (3000 mAh vs. 3300 mAh), but they are not significant enough to overwhelm either side.

Personally, I would lean towards 7A, but only because I like EMUI a little more than MIUI. For many people this issue looks the opposite, so it would be best to form your own opinion on this topic.
