These were sensational prices, which probably for the first time in the history of the market so significantly reduced the threshold for entering the full frame.

Why am I writing about it? We have received confirmed information that Sony is going to launch a new promotional campaign for the upcoming Black Friday, in which equipment prices will be reduced by up to 30%. If the promotion connects to the ongoing cashback (and this was just a year ago), we will have a repeat of last year's situation. It's just that in a better edition, because a year younger.

Which cameras will be included in the promotion?

We have no confirmation, so treat it as my guess. I bet Sony will move with a strong offensive full frame. Why? Because maybe.

Sony is the only manufacturer that can offer rebates for full-frame mirrorless cameras, because the company entered this segment five years ahead of its rivals and has three generations of equipment in its portfolio. An example of previous years shows that Sony is not afraid of large discounts on its equipment. Remember that these are system cameras, so the manufacturer can count on the fact that sooner or later the customer will buy new lenses for his body.

For Sony, it is an opportunity to win new customers who may have begun to consider other offers.

For us, this is a great opportunity to switch to a newer camera. How much can the full frame cost this year?

If a year ago Sony A7 cost PLN 2999, and Sony A7 II could be bought for PLN 3,999, how will the situation look now? Given the market situation, Sony should go down with prices even lower. The more so because in the meantime the new generation of Sony A7 III debuted. I would like to see this camera in the promotion, because I'm going to change it, but I would not expect that this model will be discounted on Black Friday. He is simply too young.

If the Sony A7 II approaches the price to the level of 3 thousand. PLN, it will probably be one of the best offers on the entire photo market. This is a sensational camera that can be used even for commercial photography. I remember buying my first full frame, Nikon D700 eight years ago. I could only afford the equipment I used, and so I had to put in a sum of 7,000. zł. I did not even dream about buying a new body (and yet much more advanced, for example with a stabilized matrix) for half that amount.

If you intend to do photo shopping, I strongly advise you to wait a few more days and wait for Black Friday. This year, promotions may surprise us.
