Finally, some privacy on Instagram. From now on, you decide who will see your Stories
Stories for close friends will finally appear on Instagram. Now you can choose people with whom you can share your relationship with a trip to a nearby café.
Contrary to appearances, we do not want to share all stories with the entire Internet. Some things we prefer to show only to a group of trusted friends and acquaintances, in the end not everyone needs to know that our life is not just about soy latte drinking and riding a designer bike. Instagram finally responds to this need and introduces the possibility of publishing stories only for a selected group of friends.
Only for your eyes, or Stories for close friends.
Now, before you publish Stories, you can choose who will be able to view them. When publishing an account, Instagram will ask you if you want to share it for everyone or only for close friends.
The list of close friends is fixed and edited very easily on your own profile. What's better, you can make changes without fear. The removed neighbor from the desk next to you will not be offended suddenly because you have secrets from him, despite the fact that for 3 years you regularly say "hello" twice a day, and on Fridays, sometimes even honestly, you wish for a successful weekend. Nobody will be offended for removal because they will not be aware of it. This list is in fact secret, and the people on it do not receive any notification that they have been added to or removed from it.
If you use Stories and you like this format, this change should please you.
According to 5toMac, modern teenagers often use two profiles on Instagram. One serves them as a normal account, where they share their lives, food, cats and all activities that interest them with the whole world and the surrounding areas, and the other they devote to communication with friends. Although this tendency makes me happy, because it means that contemporary youth sees the difference between private and public life, and has the need to distinguish one from another, Instagram was not a fan of such a solution. It increased the number of false accounts and probably mixed algorithms in patterns. It seems that the new option should solve this problem effectively.
